Welcome to ReSpeak: The Conversational Rewriter for Learning (“ReSpeak,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This policy explains how ReSpeak handles information when you use the ReSpeak custom GPT within OpenAI’s ChatGPT platform. ReSpeak helps transform written instructional text into spoken-style communication to support auditory and multimodal learning.
2. Use of the OpenAI Platform
ReSpeak operates entirely within OpenAI’s ChatGPT environment. All prompts, uploads, and responses are processed by OpenAI in accordance with OpenAI’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. ReSpeak itself does not independently collect, store, or share any information outside the ChatGPT environment.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
ReSpeak does not:
- Store or retain user prompts, responses, or uploaded files outside ChatGPT
- Collect personally identifiable information such as names or emails
- Use cookies or tracking technologies
- Sell or share data with third parties
All information exchanged with ReSpeak remains within your ChatGPT session and is governed by OpenAI’s data handling practices.
4. Optional Integrations
If ReSpeak adds optional connections to external services in the future (for example, cloud storage, transcription, or content management systems), those integrations will:
- Be opt-in and require clear, prior consent
- Be disclosed within documentation or the GPT description
- Be subject to the third party’s own privacy policy
At this time, ReSpeak does not use any external APIs or third-party systems.

ReSpeak supports educators and learners by producing spoken-style, conversational versions of instructional text. Do not input confidential, sensitive, or personal information. Generated outputs are intended for educational and professional purposes and should be reviewed before distribution.
6. Security
Because all data is processed within OpenAI’s infrastructure, security is provided by OpenAI’s systems. Users should maintain the security of their ChatGPT accounts and review OpenAI’s current security and privacy documentation for details.
7. Your Rights
